Effort & the "Hard Parts"
There are many factors that contribute to success or failure.
One’s effort (or lack thereof) is likely at the epicenter of the outcome. In fact, I believe it so strongly, that effort was the foundational element that our entire company was built on five years ago. “We are the Effort Experts.” That’s the tagline for our company, Exponential Development Group (EDG). Actually, effective effort is the name of the game. And, effective effort is what will separate you from the herd.
As 21st century leaders, I encourage you to reassess your effort when things are not going as planned and to recognize and praise your effort (not luck or happenstance) when things go well. Consider choosing more effort over attacking your confidence as you are working through the “hard parts” at home and at work. Effort is the one thing you always have control over, the one thing you can influence as you are leading others, and the surefire pathway to building sustained confidence!
Quote for Growth:
"Continuous effort, not strength or intelligence, is the key to unlocking our potential."
- Winston Churchill
