Setting Boundaries

How well do you set boundaries in your leadership?

How well do you establish “property lines” to establish what is acceptable and what is not? Thankfully, Dr. Henry Cloud offers us techniques and tools to assist us in maximizing performance and outcomes. In this month’s book read, Boundaries for Leaders, Dr. Cloud posits that drawing clear and healthy boundaries in our organizations will yield greater focus, stronger cultures, empowered employees, and strategic clarity.

For many, the thought of ‘setting boundaries’ equates to building walls and drawing rigid lines that separate us from our teams. In leadership, the author suggests that setting boundaries will help us “create a place where people love to work — and where you do, too.”
